Pcaa20: All that went down.

It was an epic night of fun, class and recognition as the Pop Culture Africa Awards, 2020 had it’s grand finalĂ© on the 18th of December, 2020.

This year, it was done virtually and so much like a movie as it was premiered live via Facebook to a global African audience.

The pcaa20 which had its activities commencing from the first week of November, with nominations and voting all taking place within this period, recognized every aspect of Events and it’s personalities that have driven the industry even in the midst of the global pandemic as well as other regional issues in Nigeria.

There were special appearances by Sammy Walsh, Stinblaze da Comedian, ChimeFrancis etc. Performances by Cynthia that had her vocals hit the roof as well as other performances by Nero music who in his tribute remembered the homeless children of the world, the victims of the coronavirus and Chadwick Bosman who died of cancer related complications.

Other performances were from prolific dancer, Afrobot with his dance rendition in tribute to the #EndSars movement and victims of the shootings. Also, fast rising music star and also the entertainer of the year at the pcaa19, Kemena chilled the audience with his song off his top grossing album, the Bond album and there was also a tribute to the girl child education as powered by Empowered African Child.

This year, we honoured DJ Cuppy, an exceptional personality as the African Icon of the year. She was honoured as a result of her giant strides in the music and entertainment industry and also her philanthropic assistance to saving African children from the ills of the society.
